North Carolina Registered Landscape Contractor - Kevin James is proud to be a North Carolina Registered Landscape Contractor. The North Carolina Landscape Contractors' Registration Board was created by the North Carolina General Assembly and is operated as a state licensing board. The Registration Board consists of nine appointed citizens who are responsible for administering Chapter 89D of the General Statutes of North Carolina. That is, to give examinations, issue certificates, monitor for violations, maintain records of registrants, etc. The members of this board are appointed by: the Governor of NC, the Commissioner of Agriculture, the NC Nurserymen's Association, the NC Landscape Contractors' Association, and the NC Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.


The Landscape Contractors Law, Chapter 89D, is a title act which regulates landscape contracting in North Carolina; thereby safeguarding life, health, and property and maintaining a high professional standard for the landscape industry. The law states, in part, that "it shall be unlawful for any person, partnership, association or corporation in this State to use the title "landscape contractor" or to advertise as such without first obtaining a certificate issued by the North Carolina Landscape Contractors' Registration Board.

North Carolina Association of Nurseryman Certified Plant Professional - Kevin James is proud to be a North Carolina Certified Plant Professional. The North Carolina Certified Plant Professional certification is a written and plant identification test that seeks to recognize proficiency in the nursery workforce, upgrade the status of the nursery professional, and provide the public with a means of identifying qualified nursery professionals. To become a Certified Plant Professional, the applicant must pass the written test, the plant identification test, as well as document of 12 months of experience in plant production or sales.

ICPI Certified Installer - Kevin James is proud to be a certified ICPI Installer. The Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI), founded in 1993, is the North American trade association representing the interlocking concrete paving industry. ICPI is considered by peer associations around the world as the leader in development and dissemination of technical information for design professionals and contractors.

NCMA Certified Segmental Retaining Wall Installer - Kevin James is proud to be a National Concrete Masonry Association NCMA - Certified Segmental Retaining Wall (SRW) Installer. NCMA is an association of producers of concrete masonry products, and suppliers of products and services related to the industry. SRW are gravity retaining walls that rely primarily on their mass (weight) for stability. The system consists of concrete masonary units which are placed without the use of mortar (dry stacked), and which rely on a combination of mechanical interlock and mass to prevent overturning and sliding.

Belgard Authorized Contractor - Kevin James is proud to be an Authorized Belgard Contractor. Since 1995, a nationwide network of Oldcastle manufacturing facilities has produced Belgard interlocking pavers, paving stone and garden wall products. These products include the traditional and antiqued paver and wall series. All Belgard products have a long history of successful applications on thousands of residential and commercial projects throughout the United States and Canada. North Carolina Irrigation Contractor - Kevin James is proud to be a Certified Irrigation Contractor. The North Carolina Irrigation Contractors’ Licensing Board was established by legislation which became effective January 1, 2009. The board oversees the licensing of Irrigation Contractors in North Carolina. The purpose of licensure is to protect the public health, safety and welfare and to promote the efficient use of water. The new licensure law became effective on June 30 2009.


According to the licensure law, no person shall engage in the practice of irrigation construction or contracting, use the designation ‘irrigation contractor’, or advertise using any title or description that implies licensure as an irrigation contractor unless the person is licensed as an irrigation contractor. All irrigation construction or contracting performed by an individual, partnership, association, corporation, firm, or other group shall be under the direct supervision of an individual licensed by the Board.

Angi List Super Service Award - Each year Angie's List awards this honor to companies that have given outstanding service according to the members for the previous year. The criteria for the award includes receiving a minimum number of reports from our members, maintaining an A average on both the reports as well as on their overall reports and not being in poor standing with the Better Business Bureau. Less than 5% of the companies on Angie's List received the award.
